A very considerate article, Kathy...

I can honestly say that for quite some time now I have not had a lasting situation of sadness, depression, discouragement, etc., as you have described. Sometimes, I wonder if I am more blessed than others to not have such feelings, as I know others truly do have. It's a puzzling thought that I have considered for a while now, having had others express their feelings of being "down." I know that all of those conditions are truly felt by many, as I have had them in my lifetime. Maybe, I'm experiencing a time late in my life that I don't feel lasting sadness or depression, compared with times I've experienced earlier in my life. I don't know. But, I am confident that God blesses me now with more peaceful feelings... more understanding that I am not the one fully in control of my path. That alone is a thoughtful solution, or rational perspective to my feelings about despair, depression, and so on. But I will tell you, I try always to include in my prayers a request that The Holy Spirit lead me in pathways pleasing to Him. I believe it's working, and it surely is for my disposition during trying times! 😊 Thank you for your thoughtful expressions of this life.

Reading this and hearing Odetta sing on a rainy morning at my place at the beach! The epitome of letting sadness speak! Thanks for the good words.
